What does ScreenReel do differently from the Mac's own screen recording?
The Mac records exactly what was on screen. ScreenReel records the screen, your cursor and your typing separately, then builds the edit for you: zooms on clicks, a camera that follows your typing, a smooth cursor, typos cut out. You can change any of it afterwards.
Is the free version really free?
Yes. Auto zoom, the smooth cursor and typo removal are free, with no time limit. Free exports carry a small ScreenReel watermark. Pro removes it and unlocks everything else.
Which Mac do I need?
macOS 15 Sequoia or later.
Is there a Windows version?
Not yet. ScreenReel for Windows is coming soon.
Are my recordings uploaded anywhere?
No. Recordings and edits stay in your Movies folder. ScreenReel only talks to its server to check your account and plan.
Does ScreenReel record what I type?
It records when you pressed a key and what kind of key it was (a letter, a backspace, an arrow), which is what typo removal and typing zoom need. It never records which key you pressed.
Can I use it for vertical videos?
Yes. The same recording exports as 16:9, vertical or square. Zooms and the cursor follow along.
Can I cancel Pro?
Anytime. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then go back to Free. Your projects stay yours.
